Jane Coslick has been involved in Historic Preservation for over twenty years. Starting in Isle of Hope Jane
brought her unique approach to Historic Preservation of small vernacular homes to Tybee Island where she has
restored over twenty small historic structures. Highlighted in numerous national and regional publications and
showcased in several books on cottage restorations, Jane has brought national attention to Tybee Island and
inspired scores of historic property owners to preserve their Tybee Treasures rather than modify or
worse demolish them. Over several years Jane has opened her restored cottages to public tours to raise funds
for a variety of worthwhile charities. Jane has been recognized by several historic preservation organizations
including the Tybee Island Historical Society who presented Jane with their highest award- Preservation of the
Year Award. It is with the highest regards that Jane Coslick is recommended for appointment to the Tybee

Happy New Year! WE will need to replace Monty Parks who served on the Tybee HPC in so much as he is now
a City Council member. Jane Coslick has agreed to come on Board. Please put her name for HPC on the next
City Council agenda. Let me know if you need anything in order to proceed with this recommendation. Thanks
