Work Session - Call to Order 6:30 PM
A. Roll Call
The City of Tiffin City Council held a work session Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the City Hall Council
Chamber. Mayor Kasparek called the meeting to order at 6:34 PM. Upon roll being called the following
members were present: Al Havens, Chris Olney, Eric Schnedler, Tim Orris present via Microsoft Teams,
Skylar Limkemann arrived at 6:43 PM via Microsoft Teams. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt
and City Clerk Abigail Hora.
B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval
Motion to approve agenda by Olney.
Second by Schnedler.
All ayes, agenda approved.
C. Questions from Council Members regarding items on the Regular City Council Agenda or Reports
Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt and Council discussed future projects and funding sources for
these projects.

The City of Tiffin City Council held a regular session Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the City Hall Council
Chambers. Mayor Kasparek called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Upon roll being called the following
members were present: Chris Olney, Eric Schnedler, Al Havens, Skylar Limkemann present via Microsoft
Teams, Tim Orris present via Microsoft Teams. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt and City
Clerk Abigail Hora.

Motion to approve agenda by Olney.
Second by Schnedler.

Discussion: Mary McCann, 1333 Redbud Ave, advocate for support in our local police protection through some of Johnson
County Supervisors.
Jake Huff, 605 Kimberlite St, has reported more activity at 611 Kimberlite St.
Carl Bundy, 623 Kimberlite St, fears resident at 611 Kimberlite St. Would still like the City to look into rental permits.
Dennis Pettit, 601 Kimberlite St, echos fears of neighbors. Would like the Fire Department to look into the fire door as it has
been damaged.

Discussion: Nothing Received at City Hall.

1. Resolution No. 2024-022 A Resolution Approving the City of Tiffin FY 2024-2025 Annual
Budget. Motion to Resolution No. 2024-022 A Resolution Approving the City of Tiffin FY 2024-
2025 Annual Budget by Havens.
Second by Schnedler.
Roll Call: Olney, Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Orris.
All ayes, motion carried.
2. Resolution No. 2024-023 A Resolution Approving the Closure of Main Street from Second Street
to Third Street on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, for
the purpose of the Tiffin Emergency Responders Association Pancake Breakfast. Motion to approve
Resolution No. 2024-023 A Resolution Approving the Closure of Main Street from Second Street
to Third Street on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, for
the purpose of the Tiffin Emergency Responders Association Pancake Breakfast by Schnedler.
Second by Orris.

1. t Discussion: Mayor Kasparek reported progress on the Easement near Lakeview
Ct. There will be an upcoming meeting next week and City is acting as the mediator.
2. City Council Reports Discussion: Council Person Schnedler reported the doors at the concession
stand need to be repainted. A wooden wall will be built to the West to eliminate direct sunlight on
the doors.

August. Still working on a settlement conference.
10. City Administrator Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt reported some temporary
speed bumps on Kimberlite and additional signage has been ordered for the detour.
