Dear Gabby Douglass [mail to: gabby@schuttlergreenberg.com]: The Town of Gulf Stream has received your public records request dated October 2, 2018. The original public records request can be found at the following link: http://www2.gulf-stream.org/weblink/0/doc/117967/Page1.aspx Please be advised that the records you seek are part of an active criminal investigation, and therefore, much of these records are exempt from disclosure. Only a portion of the requested records are permitted for inspection and copying, such as the time, date, location and nature of the reported crime. The allegations concern a suspicious incident at approximately 5:00 PM on September 3, 2018 at 1424 N. Ocean Blvd. in Gulf Stream, FL. Much of the records are not subject to disclosure and would therefore be heavily redacted. To that end, the Town has spent at least 15 minutes on your request and now estimates that to fully respond to your request will require an additional 15 minutes of administrative support at $42.90 per hour, the labor cost of the personnel providing the service, per Fla. Stat. § 119.07(4)(d). If the costs of producing these documents will exceed your deposit, the Town will provide you with an initial production of responsive records and an estimate for the production of any additional responsive records. If the costs of production are less than the deposit, the Town will provide you with the responsive records and a refund. (.25 @ $42.90) = Deposit Due: $10.73 in cash or check. Upon receipt of your deposit, the Town will use its very best efforts to further respond to your public records request in a reasonable amount of time. If we do not hear back from you within 30 days of this letter, we will consider this request closed. Sincerely, Reneé Rowan Basel As requested by Rita Taylor Town Clerk, Custodian of the Records
