SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall City Council formed a Housing Advisory Committee to review current issues regarding local
housing for full-time residents and possible solutions for increasing the amount of local housing available
in McCall.
The open positions were advertised in the Star News. According to the Bylaws, the Committee shall consist
of five (5) voting members appointed by the City Council for three (3) year terms. Each member may serve
no more than 2 consecutive terms. Committee members are not required to be residents of the City of
McCall. Representation from housing and construction related professionals such real estate, land use law,
building and construction, architecture, finance and other related fields, is preferred.
Attached is a list of interested people in the committee and his/her associated background. Also included
are the letters of interest and resumes that were received. The City Council reviewed the applicant’s
information. Interested persons will provide a 3-minute introduction of background, what they can bring to
the committee in terms of skills, commitment and ideas. To stagger the term dates in the beginning, staff is
requesting that Council appoint five (5) voting members to the Housing Advisory Committee, One Member
to a 1-year term; Two Members to a 2-year term; and Two Members to a 3-year term. All subsequent terms
will be for a full 3 years.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
