AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR HERMAN STREET SEWER
RELIEF, ELIMINATION OF SANITARY SEWER LATEP~AL
CONNECTIONS INTO THE STORM SEWERS, AND SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENTS TO ADDRESS COLLECTION SYSTEM
DEFICI~lqCIES FOR THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET,
COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, APPROPRIATING
$500,000.00 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
RESERVE FOR SEWER IMPROVEMENTS OF THE BOROUGH
FOR THE COST THEREFOR
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY,
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Borough of Carteret, in the County of
Middlesex, New Jersey, hereby authorizes Herman
Street sewer relief, elimination of sanitary sewer
lateral connections into the storm sewers, and
sanitary sewer improvements to address collection
system deficiencies together with all purposes
necessary, incidental er appurtenant thereto:
SECTION 2. For said improvements er purposes, there
is hereby appropriated the sum ef $500,000.00 which
amount is made available from the Capital Improvement
Fund Reserve for Sewer Improvements.
SECTION 3. The Capital Budget ef the Borough is
hereby amended to conform with the provisions ef this
Ordinance te the extent ef any inconsistency
herewith.
SECTION 4. The purposes described in Section 1
herein are not current expenses. These are all
Improvements that the Borough may lawfully undertake
as General Improvements, and no part of the costs
thereof has been er shall be specially assessed en
property specially benefited thereby.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect as
provided by Law.
