AN ORDINANCE AM ENDI NG THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,
BY ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES PERTAINING TO THE APPLICATION FOR, AND
ACCEPTANCE OF, GRANTS.
BE IT ENACTED B Y THE COUNCIL OF THE C ITY OF JEFFERSON, M ISSOURI , AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2 (Administration) of the Code of the C ity o f Jefferson is
a mended by the add ition of a new Sec. 2-74 (Grant s), to read as follows:
Sec. 2-74. Grants.
A. Applic ation. Prior to application for any grant, the Co uncil shall a pprove by Resolution any g.-ant
application filed on behalf of the Citv.
B. Acceptance.
1. Upon award of the gra nt to the C itv, the C ity Ad mini strator shall submit to the City Council
for approval a contract with the Grantee or if there is no contrad then submit the grant for
approval on the C onsent Agenda along with a copy of the document awarding the grant and
a memo which includes at least the followin g information:
a . T he name of the grantor;
b. The amount of the grant;
c. The purpose of the grant;
d. Any matching requirements or future obligations t ied to acceptance of the grant;
e. CFDA#:
f. Grant Awa rd # (if any):
g . Revenue and Expense a ccount to be amended.
2. Upon Approval of t he Consent Agenda, the C itv Administrator may, on behalf of the citv
exec ute any documents necessary for accepting the grant and amend the budget to reflect
the acce ptance of such reve nue, and amend the budget to r eflect equivalent expenses so as to
accomplish the purpose of such funds.
Section 2. This Ordinan ce sh all be in full force and effect from and after t h e date
of its passage and approval.
