Freimark and Members of the Village Council From: Jorge M. Gonzalez, Village Manager v"r Date: November 9, 2023 Subject: Unscripted Art Access Program Updates The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide you with details of updates that have been made to our Unscripted Art Access Program for the new fiscal year. As you know, each year, we partner with various South Florida cultural institutions in order to provide complimentary admission for our residents and hotel guests. In addition, we maximize these partnerships to coordinate additional benefits, such as private guided tours, or access to special VIP events, including those offered during Miami Art Week. We have successfully renewed our partnerships with all of the following museums: The Bass de la Cruz Collection HistoryMiami Museum Jewish Museum of Florida The Margulies Collection at The Warehouse Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA NoMi) Museum of Discovery & Science (Fort Lauderdale) NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Rubell Museum The Wolfsonian-FIU YoungArts In addition, we were able to negotiate a modified partnership with the Frost Museum of Science. We have purchased admission tickets at a significantly reduced rate (25% discount), which will allow our residents and guests complimentary admission to this museum any day of the week. The admission ticket now also includes access to museum exhibitions, the aquarium, and one Frost Planetarium Show (based on availability). Interested residents or hotel guests will simply need to contact the Recreation, Arts & Culture Department, either via email or phone, Monday through Friday, and provide their name, email, and desired date of visit, and they will receive their admission ticket via email. Once the Recreation, Arts & Culture Department transitions to a seven -day -a -week operation at the new park, these requests can be facilitated daily, including weekends. We are also continuing to program monthly guided tours, through our museum partnerships. Last fiscal year, we successfully coordinated eight (8) tours at various museums, with over 150 attendees. We continuously evaluate the program and collect feedback from our residents and guests for potential additions and enhancements. Our goal is to continue to provide a unique and distinctive benefit for our residents and hotel guests where exquisite access and unforgettable memories are prioritized. For those residents who may need an Unscripted Art Access card, they can be picked up at Village Hall. If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me. 2
