• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, AWARDING
• CONTRACT TO ARC - ACCUCON CONSTRUCTION INC AS THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER IN THE AMOUNT OF $495,533.06 FOR THE FOUR
POCKET PARK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT; PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.867 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Four Pocket Park Project, Project No. 4011.67.867, is
scheduled for completion during Fiscal Year 2011 -2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopted the plans, contract
documents (i.e., specifications), and working details for said project on September 6,
2011, and Public Works staff advertised the project on September 9, 2011; and
WHEREAS, twenty contractors received project plans and contract documents;
and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the Office of the City Clerk on
September 29, 2011, and the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained
that ARC - Accucon Construction Inc. was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its
base bid of $495,533.06; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Four Pocket Park Project, Project No.
4011.67.867 be awarded to ARC - Accucon Construction Inc for its total bid of
$495,533.06.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and ARC - Accucon Construction Inc.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18 day of October, 2011.
