A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING QUIT CLAIMS
TRANSFERRING BACK PROPERTIES FROM THE CITY OF LYNWOOD TO THE
LYNWOOD REDVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, On March 12, 2011 the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency
( "Agency ") entered into a cooperation agreement with the City of Lynwood ( "City) in
order to continue work on affordable housing and economic development during the
uncertainty created by State legislation threatening to dissolve redevelopment
throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, Said agreement allowed the Agency to transfer property ownership
of Agency land to City; and
WHEREAS, State legislation ultimately approved the exemption of transactions
that were entered into before January 1, 2011 through ABx1 26 and 27; and
WHEREAS, Staff is requesting that the City Council and Agency approve Quit
Claims to transfer back ownership to the Agency for properties under a Disposition and
Development Agreement prior to January 1, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE AGENCY BOARD AND CITY COUNCIL DO
HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Lynwood and the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency
authorizes Quit Claims to transfer back ownership of the following properties:
• Alameda and Imperial — 6169 - 002 - 904,905
• Muriel and Thorson— 6174 - 008 -901
• Atlantic and Carlin — 6186- 012 - 900, 901,902,903,904,905,906,907.908
Section 2 . That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon approval by
majority vote of the members of the Agency Board and City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 18 day of October 2011.
