A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, ADOPTING
THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.988; RELOCATION OF THE
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT MARTIN LUTHER KING BLVD. AND FERNWOOD AVENUE
AND AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEERING
STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS THROUGH THE INFORMAL BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the contract documents and working details for the Traffic Signal
Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.988; Relocation of the Traffic Signal at Martin
Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Fernwood Avenue are complete and ready for the City
Council's adoption; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated project cost including construction,
administration and inspection for said project is $50,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt pursuant to section 15301 (C) of the CEQA
guidelines pertaining to statutory exemption; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Traffic Signal Improvement Project, Project No.
4011.67.988; Relocation of the Traffic Signal at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and
Fernwood Avenue is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) and adheres to CEQA Guidelines.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopts the Contract
Documents and Working Details for the Traffic Signal Improvement Project, Project No.
4011.67.988; Relocation of the Traffic Signal at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and
Fernwood Avenue.
Section 3. That City Council of City of Lynwood authorizes the solicitation of
informal bids for the Traffic Signal Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.988;
Relocation of the Traffic Signal at Martin Luther King Blvd. and Fernwood Avenue.,
Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18 day of October, 2011.
