A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNEO FLORIDA' AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2019.66 ESTABLISHING THE
VILLAGE'S 2O2O LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION
PRIORITIES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village") Council adopted Resolution
No. 2019-66 on October 29, 2019 to establish certain appropriations as the Village's 2020
legislative appropriation priorities; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to amend Resolution No. 2019-66 to establish
the appropriations set forth in Exhibit o'A" attached hereto as the Village's 2020 legislative
appropriation priorities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF'KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS F'OLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That the above recitals are true and correct and incorporated
herein by this reference.
Section 2.Amendins tion No. 2019-66 and Estah Lesislative
Apnropriation Priorities. That Resolution No. 2019-66 is hereby amended and the
appropriations set forth in Exhibit ".L" attached hereto are established as the Village's 2020
legislative appropriation priorities.
Section 3. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.

2O2O LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION PRIORITIES
The following are established as the Village of Key Biscayne's 2020 Legislative Appropriation
Priorities:
APPROPRIATIONS
1. The Village supports grant and legislative line item funding that enhances local financial
capacity to address water resources, drainage, flood mitigation, sea level rise and water
supply development. Specifically, the Village requests $750,000 for stormwater utility
improvements, toward which the Village is prepared to invest $18,000,000.
2. The Village supports grant and legislative line item funding that supports the acquisition
of land for public parks and green spaces. The Village is particularly interested in securing
Florida Communities Trust support for the acquisition of 571 and 599 Harbor Drive
properties in the amount of $1,640,000.
3. The Village supports grant and legislative line item funding in the amount of $550,000,
which the Village is matching in its 201912020 Budget, for beach preservation and
management activities, including sargassum removal and disposal, in an effort to preserve
the beach, improve its quality, and enhanced tourism.
