LANDFILL RECLAMATION DISTRICT WITH DESIGNATED
DEVELOPER
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority granted the Borough by Chapter 173 of the
Laws of the State of New Jersey, the Borough did by Ordinance #95-40~ as amended
by Ordinance #96-14, create a Landfill Reclamation District; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance #95-40 the Borough designated Bellemead Development
Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chubb Insurance Company, as the
Redeveloper of said Landfill Reclamation District; and
- WHEREAS, the Borough and Designated Developer desire to enter into a
Redevelopment Agreement for development of the Landfill Reclamation District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that the Mayor is authorized and
directed in the name and on behalf of the Borough of Carteret to execute and deliver
that certain Redevelopment Agreement, in the form presented at this meeting,
between the Borough and Bellemead Development Corporation.
