COMMON COUNCIL
CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING OF A
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FEASIBILITY STUDY
WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development (CACFID) and
the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center believe there is a great need for improved
telecommunications in the City of Greencastle in support of the local businesses and industries; and
WHEREAS, Cinergy Telecommunications operates a multi -state fiber optic network and has
the ability to offer a wide range of telecommunication services; and
WHEREAS, telephone, voice and television cable would be a part of the proposed service,
WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development approves and
recommends to the City of Greencastle Common Council through its Resolution No. 2002 -2 an
expenditure of monies not to exceed $10,000.00 of industrial development funds for the purpose of
a feasibility to evaluate deploying a broad band fiber optic network throughout the Greencastle area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GREENCASTLE COMMON
® COUNCIL approves the expenditure of industrial development fund monies not to exceed
$10,000.00.
