A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COLINCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, APPROVING
SIGNAGE ON CRANDON BOULEVARD; PROVIDING
FOR IMPLEMENTATION; AND PROVIDING F.OR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' Crandon Boulevard is a designated state historic highway located within
the jurisdiction of the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village"); and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation, as part of the Safe Routes to
School Program, has requested that the Village Council approve the Crandon Boulevard signage,
after a public hearing, in accordance with Chapter 2004-366, Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 19, 2019 relating to
the Crandon Boulevard signage as provided in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit
o'A" (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOWO THEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, F'LORIDA AS F'OLLOWS:
Section l. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Approval. That the Village Council hereby approves the Project, in
substantially the form attached hereto, as Exhibit "A."
Section 3. Implementation. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village
Manager to take any action which is reasonably necessary to implement the intent and purpose of
this Resolution.

Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
