MASTRANGELO COUNCIL CHAMBER ADMINISTRATION BUILDING In accordance with provisions of Rule 2.6 of the Rules of the Town Council, and pursuant to the Call of the Town Council President, I hereby call a Special Meeting of the Town Council of the City known as the Town of Watertown to be held on Tuesday, April 17th at 7:00 pm, in the Richard E. Mastrangelo Council Chamber, Administration Building in order to have a presentation on a Public Safety Study by the Matrix Group. Present for the meeting were Councilors John A. Donohue, Susan G. Falkoff, Anthony Palomba, Angeline B. Kounelis, Vincent J. Piccirilli, Jr., Kenneth Woodland, Vice President Stephen P. Corbett, and Council President Mark S. Sideris. Also present was the Town Manager Michael J. Driscoll and Council Clerk Valerie Papas. Councilor Lenk was absent. The Chair announced prior to the presentation, that there will be no public discussion following the presentation made by the Matrix Group. He indicated that the Public Safety Study will be referred to the subcommittee on Public Safety for a full review; recommendation and a public hearing. Anyone with concerns will have an opportunity to express them at the subcommittee meeting and later again at a public hearing before the Town Council. The Chair further noted that representatives from the Matrix Group will be attending the subcommittee meeting and will be available to answer questions. The Chair recognized the Manager who provided a brief history of process involved in the study. Mr. Richard Brady and Mr. Travis Miller provided an overview of the Public Safety Study of the police and fire departments. Following the presentation, the Chair asked for a motion to refer the Study to subcommittee. Councilor Piccirilli moved to refer the Study to the Public Safety subcommittee to review and make recommendations to the Town Council, seconded by Councilor Donohue and adopted by unanimous voice vote. There being no further business to come before the Town Council, Councilor Donohue moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 pm, seconded by Councilor Woodland and adopted by unanimous roll call vote with Councilors John A. Donohue, Susan G. Falkoff, Anthony Palomba, Angeline B. Kounelis, Vincent J. Piccirilli, Jr., Kenneth Woodland, Vice President Stephen P. Corbett, and Council President Mark S. Sideris voting in the affirmative.
