A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
THE CURRENT AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE WITH LOS
ANGELES COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF FIVE
ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL LOCATIONS ,
WHEREAS, five signalized intersections are shared between the City of
Lynwood and the City of South Gate, and
WHEREAS, both Cities have agreements for traffic signal maintenance with the
County of Los Angeles Public Works that can be amended to include five additional
traffic signal locations, and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Traffic Signal operations budget to cover
maintenance costs;
WHEREAS, the Cites of Lynwood and South Gate will share the maintenance
cost per the Los Angeles County Public Works standard formula for intersection cost
sharing
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood amends Appendix "A"
of the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement between the City of Lynwood and the
County of Los Angeles Public Works to include the following five intersections and traffic
signal maintenance cost sharing between the City of Lynwood and the City of South
Gate shall be per.the percentage shown below
Long Beach Boulevard and Tweedy Boulevard (Lynwood 58% - South Gate 42 %)
State Street and Tweedy Boulevard (Lynwood 60% -'South Gate 40 %)
Martin Luther King Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue (Lynwood 84% - South Gate 16 %)
Martin Luther King Boulevard and State Street (Lynwood 74% - South Gate 26 %)
Imperial Highway and Wright Road /Duncan Avenue (Lynwood 50% - South Gate 50 %)
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3 . That the City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council resolution.
