A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO CJ CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, INC. AS THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, IN THE AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED OF $70,435 FOR THE
SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.899; AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Public Works staff advertised the project on October 4, 2011,

WHEREAS, Eleven (11) contractors received project plans and contract
documents, and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place in the Office of the City Clerk on October
20, 2011, and that the Director of Public Works / City Engineer has ascertained that CJ
Concrete construction, Inc., was the apparent lowest responsible bidder for its base
of $70,435, and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience and contractor's license for this type of project; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified funding sources that can be used to complete
the current sidewalk complaint list.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD'DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the contract for the Sidewalk Improvement Project, Project No
4011 67 899, be awarded to CJ Concrete Construction, Inc., for its total bid of $70,435
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City Council of the City of Lynwood and CJ Concrete Construction, Inc.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption

Resolution.
