BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Council of the Borough oF Carteret in tile
County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1.) SECTION A345-128.3 of the above described Code Chapter is deleted in its
entirety and leplaced with the following:
A345-128.3 Strip and Body Cavity Searches
A. Strip searches shall be conducted itl accordance with N J.S A.2A:I 61 A- 1, et seq.,
applicable provisions of the New Jersey Administrative Code (NJA C) and Carteret
Police Department directives conce~ ning searching of prisoners.
B. Body cavity searches shall be conducted in accordance with NJ.S A. 2A: 161A-2
et seq, applicable provisions of the New Jersey Administiative Code (NJ.AC.)
Police Department directives concerning searching of prisoners
2.) This oldinance shall take eft'ecl according to law.
