Engineering consulting services for manufacturing facilities,commercial,and residential real estate,and
construction projects. My specialties are management and engineering diagnostics for building/
manufacturing systems,property condition surveys,indoor air quality investigation,operational quality
assurance review,maintenance management systems development/auditing,energy audits,construction
document review,construction project management/inspection,and system commissioning. I also
provide hands-on equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
Carte&Associates,LLC—Atlanta,GA February 1995-June 2000
I jointed Carter&Associates as Director of Technical Services to enhance and lead a corporate program
of facilities maintenance management,engineering oversight,construction document review/field
inspections,and technical assistance to all Carter properties. In January of 1996 I became the General
Manager of BellSouth Center. That assignment required the facility management of a 2.5 million square
foot complex that included a 47 story office tower,retail space,a critical data center,and parking. My
activities included: customer service programs;maintenance programs;OSHA/safety programs;
construction management;office moves/rearrangements;uninterrupted data center operations;and general
services management(security,landscaping,and janitorial). Beginning in December of 1996 I became the
Director of BellSouth Telecommunications properties located in North Carolina, South Carolina,and
Georgia. My management,technical expertise,and customer service efforts were directed toward 11
buildings totaling 3.8 million square feet containing approximately 9000 employees with an annual
operation budget of 8 million dollars. My Management team consisted of five General Managers, five
Administrative Support Personnel,and fifty-six Facility Technicians. In October of 1998 I returned to the
role of Director of Technical Services for the corporation.
The Sequoia Group,Inc.—Atlanta,GA April 1989-January 1995
Vice President and Managing Principal providing management and engineering services to the Federal
Government under 3.5 million dollars of Facility Management Contracts. My activities included: customer
satisfaction;hiring of management and technical personnel; subcontractor selection and management;
engineering standards development;budget preparation,profit and loss accountability;engineering reviews
of construction and renovation projects;state and federal regulation compliance;OSHA/safety
compliance;corporate HVAC license holder;preparation of technical and cost proposals;and staffing
levels. Several of the facilities included in the portfolio were the John F.Kennedy Presidential Library,
The Carter Presidential Library,and the Georgia Technical Research Institute complex.
Griffin Services,Inc—Atlanta,GA September 1987-May 1989
Vice President of Operations providing management and engineering services to the Federal Government
under 20 facility management contracts. My activities include: customer satisfaction;the hiring of
management and technical personnel; subcontractor selection and management;engineering standards
development;budget preparation;profit and loss accountability; engineering reviews of construction and
renovation projects; state and federal regulation compliance;preparation of technical and cost proposals;
operational evaluation of each facility for quality,maintenance procedures;OSHA/safety compliance:
maintenance procedures;energy conservation; and staffing levels.

UNISON Transformer Services,Inc.—Atlanta,GA November 1985-August 1987
Southeast Field Operations Manager for Unison,a subsidiary of Union Carbide Corporation,providing
service of PCB removal in electrical distribution equipment,which included repair and replacement of
electrical power distribution systems. Accountabilities included customer interface,technical support,job
planning/scheduling/execution,service crew hiring/training, service crew movements with a fourteen
state territory,on-site supervision/hands-on work direction,and joint customer calls with sales personnel
to provide technical advice/technology capabilities.
Union Carbide Corporation, Silicone Division—Sistersville,WV April 1979-October 1985
My assignments at the Sistersville Plant included Maintenance Department Engineer,Maintenance
Department Zone Manager,Distribution Department Engineer,and Distribution Department
Order-Traffic Manager. The departmental engineering functions included technical support for
departmental operations and maintenance support. The support consisted of capital project review/design,
construction management,equipment modifications/improvements,computerized preventative
maintenance programs,new equipment purchases,budget responsibility,long range planning,and
maintenance staff straining. I was also the valve/piping,welding,pressure vessel,transportation
regulations,container/label,and customer transportation liaison specialist. The remainder of my
experience was in direct management of supervisor and hourly maintenance personnel that supported on
halve of the chemical plant's manufacturing/support departments. I was also a member of the chemical
emergency response team that provided on-site incident command,control,and clean-up of incidents
involving Union Carbide Chemicals.

As the Maintenance Department Engineer I provided support for assigned production departments. This
support consisted of capital project review,equipment modifications/improvements,construction over
site,new equipment purchase,spare part recommendations,repair procedure development,budgets,long
range planning,and maintenance training.
