Item: Southern Traffic Solutions: for a solar powered, modem communications, in pavement traffic counter proposal —
$12,392 — Company has a publically bid state contract and permit. The city can utilize the state's bidding process.
Company can highly recommended by GDOT officials. Traffic counter would be installed east of the Lazaretto Bridge in
the two lane section. Counter is to be funded with the police capital equipment. There is adequate funding available due to
the fact that the fixed location license plate reader was cancelled.
Account number: Capital equipment, 100-3210.54.2100- $38,000 budget balance is available. $9,000 is for the
intoxication equipment.
