CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2018-62
RECOGNIZING CEC VIEAU FOR TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS
OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MEDINA IN THE POLICE
DEPARTMNT AS SHE RETIRES
WHEREAS, Cec is retiring as of September 28,.2018 after serving the city of Medina as a
highly respected Administrative Assistant who throughout her career demonstrated the City's core
values of Communication, Trust, Teamwork, and Professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Cec has served as a Police Administrative Assistant for 28 years; and
WHEREAS, Cec serves as the department Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC); and
WHEREAS, Cec manages the CJIS systems for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Cec has learned three different record management systems and numerous
database and search systems used in the criminal justice field; and
WHEREAS, Cec has assisted with two major remodels of the Police Department in 1997 and
2006 and assisted with the planning and the moving of the police department to the new facility in
2013; and
WHEREAS, Cec has worked for two Police Chiefs, nine Mayors, four City Clerks and two
City Administrators; and
WHEREAS, Cec has assisted with 34 hiring processes; and
WHEREAS, Cec has processed over 2,350 DWIs; and
WHEREAS, Cec has entered over 71,000 traffic contacts and processed over 240,000
incident reports; and
WHEREAS, Cec is a dedicated, reliable hard-working police employee with the highest
work ethic throughout her career; and
WHERAS, Cec demonstrated exceptional customer service to the citizens and visitors to the
Medina Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Medina expresses sincere gratitude for Cec's dedication,
professionalism and committed service to the Medina community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Medina
acknowledges, thanks and wishes Cec Vieau the best of luck in her retirement.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Pederson and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Anderson, Cousineau, DesLauriers, Martin, Pederson
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
