HomeMy Public PortalAbout2018-071 Resolution Receiving Feasibility Report and Calling Hearing on ImprovementMember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2018-71 RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the city council adopted May 15, 2018, a report has been prepared by the city engineer with reference to the proposed 2019 Hickory Drive Street and Utility Improvement Project, the improvement of Hickory Drive north of Hamel Road by reconstructing the existing bituminous pavement, installation of storm sewer, and replacement of watermain; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate the individual assessments for affected parcels; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of Medina Minnesota, as follows: 1. The city council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $671,500. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 7th day of November, 2018, in the council chambers of the city hall at 7:00 PM and the clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
