Amendments to Agenda: None. Approval of Minutes: 2/20/20 &3/19/20- Ed motioned to approve as presented, 2"d by Lola.All in favor. Director's Report: Payment Approvals: 4/7/20—Motioned by Lynn to approve, 2"d by Lola, all aye. Budget and Stats: March Monthly financial statement reviewed online, no additional comments. PayPal check for FY19—due back to library$194.30—Linda Stokes will clear this up. Staff: Monthly calendar attached, with cancellations. Staff is using technology channels to stay in touch with patrons during the COVID-19 shutdown. Online options for Storytime, Tech Tuesdays,Arbor Day, Let's Talk About It, and a book club with AAUW. Weekly Zoom staff meetings help stay in touch together and Meg contacts individual staff members daily or as needed. Lynn asked about curbside service because people appreciate library service during this time of chaos. Bob Giles said that after last night's Council meeting, we can reinstate curbside. Meg reported that Melody Dodge will be retiring at the end of May. She will be missed for her vibrant participation to our programming. Staff is working on calling patrons about library services information.Staff is also taking calls for the Valley County EOC's Community Cares website,which is like an online bulletin board to connect community volunteers with needs. Regarding community presentations for the bond information,Jacki gave a written report to the MDSD Trustees on 4/13. Meg's Rotary presentation is postponed till May, and other groups are not meeting due to the pandemic. Bond election options discussion:Trustees will continue to move forward with support and direction from City Council. A Memo was reviewed regarding the current COVID-19 situation requiring vote by mail only, and it was learned that citizens' first payment of taxes for the bond would be December 20, 2020. Fiscal Year 2021 Local Option Tax Funding Application: General discussion about the expected low revenue in FY20 led to asking Meg to prepare an application for FY21 that would keep monies extended and balanced with the expansion budget as previously considered. Fundraising report-Amy reported that she has dramatically changed intended timelines and approaches to donors yet remains positive.There were some affirmations on pledges, and she remains in connection with prospective donors.There are funds being settled that will support the expansion project. Working for the Foundation,Amy is shifting her focus to bond support and staying nimble. Draft Letter of support: N/A. New Meadows is joining OverDrive so their patrons have access to the same a-books as McCall and others in the Idaho Digital Consortium. Page 1 1 Friends Liaison report: Lola reported the Pump House and all activities are closed until further notice. The Friends will be returning to monthly meetings to be better able to communicate.The new Vice President is Jerry Randolph. Foundation report:John reported the Foundation finalized the position for Amy Rush.They are having virtual meetings for the time being. City Council Liaison report: Bob reported there is solid support of the Library expansion project and the bond initiative.All are hopeful of the success of absentee ballot and the process of voting this year. He is confident that the LOT and the pledges will fall into place so that the project is fully funded.
