Home My Public Portal Aboutr 12-058No. 12-58 Date of Adoption--Mk 22 2 1712 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH CNEE ASSOCIATES NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE CARTERET MARINE STATION WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering and environmental consulting services with regard to the New Jersey State Police Carteret Marine Station design and construction phase services; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineers, CME Associates, possess the requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and WHEREAS, CIVIE Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering services at a total cost not to exceed $55,000.00; and WHEREAS, the Mayor mid Council have reviewed said proposal; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that finds are or will be available for said purpose, 50% to be paid through the Carteret Redevelopment Agency and 50% to be paid through the Carteret Port Authority. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: The proposal from CME Associates for engineering environmental consulting services related to the New Jersey State Police Carteret Marine Station design and construction phase services at a total cost not to exceed $55,000.00, 50% to be paid through the Carteret Redevelopment Agency and 50% to be paid through the Carteret Port Authority at the rate set forth in CNIE's existing contract with the Borough is hereby approved. 2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal. 3. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40AA 1- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law. 4. A copy of this resolution be forwarded to Eric Chubenko, Executive Director, Carteret Redevelopment Agency and the Carteret Port Authority. Design Phase Services The New Jersey State Police wish to construct a Police Barracks by September 1, 2012 at the Waterfront Park Marina. This facility is located within the area of the upland marina improvements which requires a waterfront development permit. The scope of this proposal will be to prepare site plans for construction of the facility and to submit a waterfront development permit application to the NJDEP for the project.
