ORDNANCE NO. 2'64
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ENCROACHMENTS
WITHIN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS RIGHT OF
WAY ALONG ILLINOIS ROUTE 59
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois acting by and through its Department of Transportation,
is desirous of improving Illinois Route 59 between Illinois Route 126 south to the Village Limits
in the Village of Plainfield; and
WHEREAS, said project is being constructed in order to facilitate the free flow of traffic
and ensure safety to the motoring public; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said project passes through the Village of Plainfield;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD OF WILL COUNTY, STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. That no person, firm, corporation or other entity shall install, place, maintain
or construct any structure that encroaches upon the State of Illinois right of way on Illinois Route
59 within the limits of the Village of Plainfield.
Section 2. The Village Clerk of the Village of Plainfield is hereby authorized and directed
to attach a copy of this Ordinance to the agreement dated May 19, 2008 by and between the State
of Illinois and the Village of Plainfield relative to the improvement of Illinois Route 59.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval according to law.
ADOPTED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE
OF PLAINFIELD, COUNTY OF WILL, STATE OF ILLINOIS, this 19`'' day of May 2008.
