A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A THREE YEAR LICENSE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY AND ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER FOR THE USE OF
CITY OWNED PARKING FACILITY AND SPACES
WHEREAS, on August 16, 2011, the City Council authorized staff to negotiate a
new Agreement with St. Francis Medical Center, and
WHEREAS, the proposed new Agreement term is from December 1, 2011 to
November 30, 2014, with the option of the Agreement to be renewed by two one-year
periods; and
WHEREAS, the agreement allows St. Francis Medical Center's use of 100
public parking spaces for its personnel during weekdays, Monday through Friday,
between the hours of 6:1130 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the designated spaces located in the
City's Natatorium parking lot and on Cesar Chavez Lane, between Birch Street and
Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City will generate $50,000 in revenue in FY 11 for St. Francis'
use of the City's parking facilities, and
WHEREAS, for the next two years (FY 12 and FY 13), the City will receive
$51,500 and $53,045 in revenue respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute a three-year license
agreement with St. Francis Medical Center approved as to form by the City Attorney.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 2011.
