SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Several years ago as part of the rapid development that occurred within the City of McCall, a booster water pumping station was constructed at the end of Knowles Road on the Whitetail
property. At that time a back-up power generator was not included as part of that construction. However, a back-up power generator is required as part of the Idaho Department of Environmental
Quality’s redundancy regulations.
This project was programmed as part of the 2008 Water Master Plan Addendum prepared by CH2M Hill and is part of the FY 13 budget.
Bid packages were sent out to four firms. One bid was received by Challenger Companies, Inc in the amount of $58,501. Public Works has determined that this is an extremely competitive
bid. This project is funded in FY13 at $80,000.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Award Bid Number PW 13-06 – City of McCall, Standby Power for Knowles Road Pump Station Summer 2013 and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
