SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In order to protect possible future development of State owned lands east of Ponderosa Park which are currently not within the City of McCall city limits, Mayor Bailey proposes that
the City initiate annexation of certain parcels. The State parcels are contiguous to the City boundary and are within the Impact Area; in these cases, annexation may proceed per Category
A if the State consents. The City needs to make a request to the State for annexation. The purpose of annexing these parcels is to insure that the City has in place the zoning and subdivision
requirements in advance of sale of these parcels to private developers. Any subsequent request for subdividing will then require a Development Agreement. There are fewer than 100 private
parcels within the total proposed annexation additions (about 78). Mayor Bailey outlines his proposal in the attached memo.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Council determines whether to move forward with the annexation proposal.
