SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Rik Poston, current AAC member with a term expiration of 31 Dec 15, has provided notice of resignation
from the AAC. This vacancy was announced by the City and Mike Weiss has requested consideration for
appointment within this position via the attached letter. Mr. Weiss is a hangar owner with over forty years
of flying experience within the United States Air Force and as a private pilot. He maintains a certified
flight instructor instrument (CFII) certification, and is an active member within the Idaho Aviation
Association (IAA) and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Mr. Weiss was unanimously
recommended by the AAC for a three year appointment to this position, effective 1 September 2013.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint Mike Weiss as AAC Board Member with a three year term, effective 1 September 2013.
