RESOLUTION NO. 92 -144
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE
EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE
1992 -93 FISCAL YEAR

WHEREAS, the United States Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as Amended, established the Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to provide decent housing,
a suitable living environment and expanding economic
opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate
income; and
WHEREAS, the City's total entitlement allocation for
the 1992 -93 Program is $1,307,618; and
WHEREAS on May 21, 1992, Council approved the CDBG
statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for the 1992-
93 Program Year.
WHEREAS, it has been customary for the City Manager to
sign all grant agreements, request for funding drawdowns and
financial and programmatic reports on the CDBG Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Approve and adopt a resolution approving
the attached Grant Agreement with HUD for the 1992 -93 CDBG
program year.
SECTION 2. The City Manager (or designee) is
authorized to execute three copies of the Agreement.
SECTION 3. The existing administrative policy which
authorized the City Manager to sign all grant agreements and
related documents is hereby ratified.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
