SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Southwest Idaho Cooperative Housing Authority (SICHA) owns and operates a housing complex located at 430 Flyod Street. This facility utitilizes a private lift station to convey wastewater
from the property into the City’s sewer main with the Floyd Street. Because this lift station has reached the end of its lifespan, SICHA has worked with the City and an adjoining property
owner (Simplot Corporation) to design a gravity sewer line that will replace the need for the lift sation and convey wastewater to the City’s sewer main located within the McCall Marketplace
(Simplot’s property). Once constructed to City standards, the City would assume ownership of the new sewer main.
The City Engineer and IDEQ have approved the construction plans for the gravity sewer main. The City has required, prior to construction, that an appropriate utility easement be granted
to the City.
Attached is a copy of the proposed easement agreement with inclusions for the easement description and easement exhibit.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the easement agreement between Southwest Idaho Cooperative Housing Authority and the City of McCall for the proposed sanitary sewer main and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary
documents.
