SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This project is the first phase of the Park Street (Mission to First) Right-of-Way rehabilitation. This phase involves the replacement of all sanitary sewer infrastructure within the
ROW. Specifically, the work will include:
Sewer manhole replacement
Sewer main replacement
Sewer service line replacement (within the ROW)
New sewer service line installations for undeveloped lots without current sewer services
Removal/abandonment of the existing sewer main.
Because the cost for this project is estimated in excess of $100,000, a “formal” bidding procedure was conducted. All bids will be opened September 25, 2013. A complete list of bids
received and a recommendation for award of contract will be made by staff at the City Council meeting.
A copy of the project plans and draft contract is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize staff to issue a “Notice of to Award a Construction Contract” to the Contractor for the project, and authorize the Mayor to sign all contract documents.
