SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On June 27, 2013 staff presented to Council an update on the FY13 LOT receipts to date. It was discussed that the original amount budgeted for LOT funds were $240,448 with a contingency
of $11,920, leaving a total of budgeted projects for FY13 at $252,368. Due to LOT funding trending to exceed the original budgeted amount, the LOT budget needed to be revised to reflect
additional contingent projects. The Council requested that the LOT Commission meet and make a recommendation for funding to the Council. The LOT Commission recommended and the Council
unanimously approved additional funding to go to the following projects:
$20,000 to the Golf Course for sod replacement
$600 to Payette Lakes Community Association – 4th of July Family Fun Day
$13,000 to the City of McCall – Clerk’s Department for Direct Costs
$5,000 to The Centennial Committee for Centennial Park
As we are getting close to receiving the entire end of year receipts for LOT funds. To date there has been $290,192 collected in LOT revenue. With 24 accommodators yet to remit their
tax for September it is estimated that there will be approximately $20,000-$25,000 that has not been budgeted for projects for FY13; therefore due to LOT funding trending to exceed
the additional budgeted amount, the LOT budget needs to be revised to reflect additional contingent projects. An update to the total amount remitted will be provided at the October
24 Council Meeting. The LOT projects that submitted applications for FY13 are attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Staff will prepare and make a recommendation to Council.
