SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) members: four (4) appointed by
the Mayor with consent of the Council, and three (3) appointed by the Board of Valley County
Commissioners. All members must be residents of the city or the area of city impact for a period of at
least two (2) years prior to appointment (MCC 3.12.02).
There are currently two (2) positions vacant on the Commission. Steve Callan, Ballard Smith and Nancy
Farnsworth have submitted resumes for consideration for appointment to fill these vacancies.
At its November 12, 2013, meeting, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed these
resumes, interviewed the applicants in attendance (Steve Callan and Nancy Farnsworth) and unanimously
recommended City Council appoint Steve Callan and Nancy Farnsworth to fill the two Commission
vacancies because of Mr. Callan’s relvant background in construction and design and Ms. Farnsworth’s
experience in surveying and engineering.
Attached are resumes from Steve Callan, Ballard Smith and Nancy Farnsworth.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint Steve Callan and Nancy Farnsworth to the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission for
terms of three (3) years, expiring December 2016.
