SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the November 29, 2012 City Council Meeting it was identified that Title 4 of the McCall City Code was outdated and needed to be re-written. The ordinance presented to Council amended
section 4.1.14 LIQUOR SALES PROHIBITED of the McCall City Code allowing liquor sales on Christmas and Election days.
Since the passage of this Ordinance it has come to staff’s attention that there was an error. The Idaho Code §23-927 that was updated in 2008 only removed the prohibition of liquor sales
on election days, not Christmas day.
To correct the error and align with Idaho Code §23-927 a new ordinance has been prepared. Attached is the new ordinance and Idaho Code §23-927 for Council review.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only, Ordinance No. ___.
Adopt Ordinance No.____, amending Title 4 of the McCall City Code section 4.1.14 Liquor Sales Prohibited, approve the publication of the summary, and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents
