SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Ordinance No 762 was adopted by City Council on January 24, 2002. Ordinance 762 established the zoning classification of the annexed property as ZONE B – Medium Density Residential;
rezoning certain property located in the city from ZONE B – Medium Density Residential to ZONE B – Medium Density Residential. In the process of correcting legal descriptions for Annexations
done in 2012 it was discovered that the Idaho State Tax Commission had sent a letter stating that the ordinance did not comply with the legal description and/or mapping requirements.
Garrett Mapp, the City’s GIS Analyst has corrected the legal descriptions and has worked with the Tax Commission to ensure that the legal descriptions are accurate.
Attached are the Ordinance, Ordinance Summary and the letter from the State Tax Commission.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Suspend the rules, read by title only, one time only, Ordinance No. ___.
Adopt Ordinance No.____, correcting Ordinance No. 762 which established the zoning classification of the annexed property as ZONE B – Medium Density Residential; rezoning certain property
located in the city from ZONE B – Medium Density Residential to ZONE B – Medium Density Residential, approve the publication of the summary, and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary
documents
