SUMMARY STATEMENT:
During the process of selecting a solid waste provider for the City of McCall, it was identified that a code amendment would be necessary to establish regulations regarding solid waste
removal. The purpose of this work session is to review and approve the solid waste and recycling timeline, and review the attached draft ordinance.
At the February 14, 2013 City Council Meeting, Council requested that the three Waste Management Providers who submitted proposals review the draft code amendment and provide feedback
should there be any provisions of the proposed code amendment that would prohibit their company from providing waste management services to McCall. Emmett Sanitation and Lakeshore Disposal
responded with feedback which is attached for Council review.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the solid waste and recycling timeline and direct staff and the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for Waste Management regulations.
