ORDINANCE NO. 2597
AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE RESIDENCE ON THE PROPERTY
COMMONLY DESCRIBED AS 707 W. OTTAWA STREET AS A HISTORIC
LANDMARK IN THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, WILL AND KENDALL COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
I. That pursuant to Section 9-147.7 of the Plainfield Code, the following
findings of the Plainfield Historic Preservation Commission were made as to the residence
described in paragraph II:
c. Is identified with a person who significantly contributed to the development
of the community, county, state or nation.
d. Embodies distinguished characteristics of an architectural style valuable
for the study of a period, type, method of construction or use of indigenous materials.
Is suitable far preservation or restoration.
II. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield hereby
adopt the findings of the Plainfield Historic Preservation Commission and that the petition
requesting the residence on the property commonly known as 707 W. Ottawa Street be
designated as a Historic Landmark, as to the real estate described in Exhibit "A" which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof be granted.
III. This Ordinance shall be in effect upon its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
