SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the December 19, 2014 City Council Work Session, Public Works presented the initial draft of MCC Title 6. However, there were important policy issues that were brought up that need
to have further discussion on. These policy issues were:
Use of City Fire Hydrants
Properties within 300 feet of water and wastewater mains
Properties served by well water
Utility Hook Up Policy at the time of Building Permit
Who does the utility hookups? City? Contractor? Combined effort if both?
Water meters and street water valves
Private development issues
Grease traps & interceptors required
Sump pumps hooked to wastewater system
Attached is an additional document addressing these issues for the City Council to review.
