SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Amendment to McCall City Code Title 3 Chapter 3 residential land use regulations to remove the requirement that accessory dwelling units and two-family dwellings obtain a Conditional
Use Permit in all residential zones. Additionally, the proposed ordinance amends McCall City Code Title 3 Chapter 16 to require design review for two family dwellings, which is currently
required for accessory dwelling units, thereby creating consistency between these two similar housing unit types.
The intent of this code amendment is to support the development of affordable housing units by reducing the permitting timeline and requirements for secondary dwelling units in residential
zones.
At the January 6, 2015 meeting, the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission held a properly noticed and regularly scheduled public hearing and unanimously recommended the ordinance
for approval. The City Attorney has reviewed the attached ordinance and prepared the attached summary. The following documents are included in the agenda packets:
