SUMMARY STATEMENT:
In an effort to engage the community in a robust way, City Council held a series of three round-table style workshops called Community Conversations. The workshops, held on April 16,
What is Fair; May 1, What Works?; and June 9, What Else?, were based on the state of our streets and how to pay for repairs and replacement. Each workshop included an educational presentation,
followed by an interactive exercise in a round-table format. Each table was moderated by a City Council Member and a City staff person. The information collected at these workshops
has been used to draft several Local Option Tax Ordinance Models. A handout will be provided at the work session.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Review, discuss, and propose ordinance options to present to the community for feedback.
