Notice of FY14 LOT Rotary Art Public Art project funding in the amount of $3,195 was issued on November 20, 2014 (see attached). These funds are typically required to be expended within one year of the date of funding notice. Due to the funding shortfall between the FY14 LOT request ($12,000) and funded amount ($3,195), a grant request was submitted to the Idaho Commission on the Arts (ICA) in January, 2015. On June 8, 2015, the City received notification from ICA of grant award in the amount of $6,503 (attached). These grant funds were matched with the FY14 LOT funds ($3,195) and $4,000 dedicated to the project by the McCall Improvement Committee. In order to conduct a community-engaged public art selection process in keeping with the City’s public art policies and to coordinate installation of the public artworks with Parks and Recreation Department staff availability, the McCall Public Art Advisory Committee is requesting approval to extend the FY14 LOT funding for the project to September 30, 2016. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve extension of FY14 LOT funding for Rotary Park Public Art project to September 30, 2016. RECORD OF COUNCIL ACTION MEETING DATE ACTION
