SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the work session on July 21, 2015, the City Council had a productive discussion about of workforce housing. At the meeting, direction was given to staff to provide more education
and available tools to create or facilitate workforce housing in McCall. The purpose of this item is to provide a list of tools and expertise to help inform the discussion.
The Community Development Director has been participating in the regional discussion about workforce housing. While an update the regional needs assessment and a resource inventory should
be completed, each city will ultimately need to develop policy and programs appropriate for each community.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Provide direction to staff to develop a strategy for the workforce housing issue.
