ARTICLE 4
SEC. 4-28: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of
Plainfield, it is no longer necessary, useful, or for the best interests of the Village of Plainfield, Co retain
ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield to
sell said personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD:
SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section S/11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS, Section 5/11-
76-4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Plainfield find that the following described personal
property:

now owned by the Village of Plainfield, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Plainfield and the best
interests of the Village of Plainfield will be served by its sale.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 5/11-76-4, the Village Administrator is hereby authorized and
directed to sell the above-listed vehicle now owned by the Village of Plainfield far any minimal amount.
SECTION THREE: Upon payment of the full sale price, the Village Administrator is hereby authorized
and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property to the purchaser.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage, by a vote of at
least three-fourths of the cor orate authorities and approval in the manner provided by law.
