SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On January 13th, the Council hosted a Community Discussion on allocation of the current, 3% Local Option Tax. As noted in the Council de-brief, there was a strong sense of advocacy
among participants, with final alignment around equal allotment of LOT dollars for City equipment and projects, marketing of McCall, and investing in a resident and tourist-friendly
town. It was noted that from participants who are residents of McCall, there was a significantly higher desire to invest in City work, than from those who live outside the City.
After listening to some 40 conversation participants at the Community Discussion, the Council will now discuss how they would like to proceed when they review LOT Applications for 2016
and what direction they will give to the LOT Commission in May.
