SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The intent of the establishment of revised fees is to compensate for the cost of staff time associated with the negotiation, review, and approval process for the respective land use
applications. Staff has reviewed all the land use related fees and adjusted fees accordingly to ensure fees will cover current staff time.
In 2013, a few fees were changed to encourage smaller signs and a fee was added to cover the cost of processing development agreement amendments. Otherwise, the fee schedule for planning
and zoning fees has not been changed since 2008.
The City Attorney has reviewed the attached Resolution.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Hold the public hearing.
2. Approve Resolution 15-20 adopting Planning and Zoning related fees and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
