SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Housing Company (THC) is requesting that the McCall City Council will again support their efforts to bring quality affordable housing to McCall. The Hosing Company (THC) is preparing
to submit an application for Low Income Housing Tax Credits in February and is seeking letters of support from elected officials.
In 2008, the City Manager signed a letter of support for the initial phase of The Springs affordable housing complex. In 2011 the Mayor signed a letter requesting that a market/feasibility
analysis be completed by IFHA to determine if Phase 2 of the Springs Project should be constructed to assist with the affordable housing demand.
THC has done its due diligence and is ready for Phase II of The Springs affordable housing complex which was developed in 2011. The Springs won Best Housing Project of the Year Award
in Idaho from the Idaho Smart Growth Alliance, an honor they share with their partners in McCall.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Mayor to sign the letter of support to The Housing Company for Phase II of The Springs affordable housing complex.
