SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Based on the results of the bids received in October 2015, and having discussed with bidders opportunities to revise the project specifications to reduce overall costs of the project,
it is estimated that an additional $135,000 is needed to successfully execute the Community Choices project during 2016. Currently, the McCall Redevelopment Agency is the sole City
fund contributing to this project (excluding grant provided by ITD).
MRA has requested that staff work with City Council to identify any additional City funds that could be committed to the project.
Staff has identified specific funds that could be used to provide supplemental funding for the project. If Council provides direction to apply City funds to this project, staff recommends
a total contribution by the City (excluding MRA) of $35,000 and that specific condition be placed on this supplemental contribution. The attached memo further describes this agenda
bill and staff’s recommended conditions. This commitment of funds shall be contingent upon the conditions outlined in the memo and accompanying documentation.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the use of City funds, up to $35,000, to provide additional funding for the rebidding and construction of the Community Choices project, contingent upon
the conditions outlined in the memo and accompanying documentation.
