SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Golf Course Advisory Committee requests approval of the McCall City Council to raffle 1 lifetime pass for the McCall Golf Course. Currently the price of a lifetime pass is
$15,000 and there are 11 available. The McCall Men’s Association would handle the raffle as they have the appropriate license to run a raffle. They would raffle 255 tickets @ $50 per
ticket; five (5) tickets would go towards expenses. There would be no limit to the number of tickets each individual can purchase. The funds from the raffle would be used to replace
much needed flooring in the club house. The type of flooring would be decided by the Golf Course Advisory Committee and staff.
The Golf Advisory Committee, if approved, will start selling the raffle tickets the first of May, when season tickets start selling and before the first tournament. The Committee projects
that they will be able to sell the 255 tickets prior to the McCall Amateur. The plan would be to have the raffle drawing during the McCall Amateur Tournament.
The raffle winner would be allowed one transfer of the life time pass. The recipient of the transfer must be named prior to the pass being issued. The raffle winner would be responsible
for any income tax liabilities. If the raffle winner has purchased a season pass, they would be entitled to a refund of 50% of the purchase price of that pass.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the McCall Men’s Association to raffle one lifetime pass to fund flooring replacement in the club house.
