Prior to performing repairs, a CCTV inspection of the damaged sewer main was required. A significant longitudinal crack was observed approximately in the middle of the river. This sewer main is one of two sewer mains that cross the Payette River. In order to facilitate the repairs, City Council declared that an emergency exists and repairs need to be made immediately. City Council also authorized the expenditure of funds up to $60,000 for the repair of the sewer main. Public Works also asked ITD to replace the aging wastewater collection system on the west side of the bridge. ITD has requested that the Cooperative Agreement be reviewed and approved at the earliest opportunity due to time-critical aspects of the completion of the Lardo Bridge project and authorize the expenditure of funds in the amount of $66,533.65 Attached are a Cooperative agreement with ITD including Appendix A detailing the exact expenditure of funds for all of the sewer work done in conjunction with the Lardo Bridge Replacement Project.  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the Cooperative Agreement for the Sewer Replacement and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
